Visit Our Cheese Farm & Shop – Experience Real Dutch Gouda Cheese
Welcome to Giessenlander (Cheese- and Dairyfarm Kuiper), a traditional Dutch cheese farm located in the heart of the Netherlands. We craft our own Gouda cheese right here on-site, and you’re very welcome to visit our cheese shop, where you can buy and taste a selection of our cheeses — straight from the source.
At our family-run farm in the Netherlands, we craft authentic Dutch cheese and dairy products using milk from our own 270 cows. With multiple generations of the Kuiper family working together, we passionately create a wide variety of cheeses – from young to extra aged, and with many herb-infused options.
What we offer:
- Authentic Gouda cheese, made on our own farm
- A wide range: from young to extra-aged, and with many herb and spice varieties
- Usually, we have a few cheeses available for tasting
- Cheese can be vacuum packed – ideal for travel
- We speak English in the shop and are happy to help
- From our shop, you can see the cheesemaking process through a large window (cheesemaking usually takes place in the morning)
Meet our cows
Our cheese is made from the fresh milk of our 270 cows, which we care for on our farm.
After your visit to the shop, feel free to take a walk around the farm to see our cows and calves — especially fun if you’ve bought something and want to experience a bit of Dutch farm life.

Want to learn more? We offer guided tours of our cheesemaking facility:
- By appointment only
- Minimum: 10 paying adults
- Smaller groups are welcome, but the fee is based on 10 people
- Includes a look inside the cheesemaking area, background on the process, and a cheese tasting
